Colourful Raffia Coasters from Madagascar.
Raffia is made from the fronds of the Raffia Palm Tree and Bozaka Aravola Straw which is a strong native grass growing on the central highland plains of Madagascar.
This Raffia is rolled and dyed by hand using traditional techniques. Since Raffia is a natural product, the colour of the dye varies in each batch. This creates a truly unique product.
These coasters are a hit with the outdoor entertainer. They add a touch of happiness to any alfresco or backyard BBQ.
